Aly Raisman has been a gymnast in the United States for over ten seasons. She was part of and was captain for the US Olympic women's gymnastics team Fierce Five (2012) as well as the Final Five (2016). At the 2012 Olympics she was awarded gold on both the floor for the team and in individual events. The bronze was won by using the balance bar. As a result, she was the first American in the Olympics with the highest amount of medals. Her gold medal in the Olympics in 2016 was her second consecutive gold medal for the US team. Additionally, she won silver medals for the individual all-around event as well as for the floor workout. The three years that passed between the two Olympics her break was taken. In addition, she was a member two world championship gold teams. She began her gymnastics training at the age of 2 and enjoys floor exercise. Aly has joined the Uniting Against Lung Cancer group in honor of her late grandma. Aly hopes to be a fashion designer and expand the range of her socks and leotards in the near future.
